The Keaukaha Warriors won the Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League and a Big Island All-Star team will be one of four clubs competing this weekend on Maui at the state tournament.

The Keaukaha Warriors won the Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League and a Big Island All-Star team will be one of four clubs competing this weekend on Maui at the state tournament.

The team will be coached by field manager Keith Aoki and player-coach Chad Canda.

Cortney Arruda was named MVP of the league after he went 5-0 with a 1.94 ERA on the mound for the Keaukaha Warriors, and hit .533 at the plate as an infielder and outfielder.

Teammate Avery Kagawa was the league batting champion (.533), and the Keaukaha Legends’ Kodi Medeiros was the league’s RBI champion (12.)
